Our beautiful baby at her birth. 9 lbs., 1 oz, 21 inches long. Look at those feet! Rory had fluid in her lungs after her birth that didn't get pushed out during delivery, probably because she came so quickly. She had to go to a transitional nursery for a few hours where they suctioned out her lungs. She didn't make it back to the family care room until about 11am which is when Gabbie arrived from New York. It was a scary time for us, even though we knew she was going to be okay. Colin went with her to the nursery and came back to reassure Abbie.
